Company Overview
We are a delivery and logistics business in central Connecticut with 34 employees and 40 trucks. Effective September 1, 2026, we are doubling in size. We’re looking for an experienced, self-motivated professional to support our operations and leadership during this exciting growth phase. This hybrid role combines HR coordination with executive assistance to the CEO. You’ll work directly with our drivers while also providing high-level support to the CEO. Compensation & Benefits

  • Annual Salary: $65,000

Schedule

  • Monday through Friday
  • Hybrid: One hour each morning at dispatch in one of our three locations (South Windsor, Windsor, or Wallingford – rotated as needed) to build strong relationships with drivers. All other work can be performed from home.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead recruiting efforts (approximately 10 hours per week), including sourcing, screening, and supporting the hiring process.
  • Process weekly payroll, verify daily clock-ins/outs for accuracy, and handle related admin tasks.
  • Onboard new employees and ensure smooth integration.
  • File receipts and other documents weekly.
  • Perform accurate data entry for vehicle maintenance records (no mechanical knowledge required).
  • Serve as Executive Assistant to the CEO: provide ad-hoc administrative support, handle special projects, and assist with the CEO’s needs as they arise.
  • Create and implement new systems and processes to improve efficiency as the company grows.
  • Act as a reliable point of contact for employee needs, with a primary focus on our drivers.

What We’re Looking For

  • Substantial experience (3+ years) in HR, payroll, recruiting, and administrative/executive support roles.
  • Sales experience is highly desired — it will be very useful for recruiting top talent and communicating effectively with drivers.
  • Comfortable interacting with drivers and other hourly employees.
  • Proven ability to work independently, problem-solve proactively, and build scalable processes with minimal supervision.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication/relationship-building abilities.
  • Experience with payroll systems and basic HR practices.
  • Adaptable, reliable, and excited by rapid growth and change.
  • Reliable transportation to reach our CT locations as needed.

Pay: $65,000.00 per year
