Payroll/HR Admin Clerk: 2-3 years

Our Idaho Team is rapidly growing in the Pocatello, Idaho area. We provide our clients with highly skilled teams that perform projects that include earthwork, underground utilities, waste water ponds, reclamation, compressor pump stations, gas processing facilities, WWT plants, tilt up concrete structures, sub stations, and mass concrete. Admin clerks will work under direct supervision of the HR Manager and the Payroll Manager. To be successful in this role, you must be detail oriented, able to multitask in a fast-paced environment and work efficiently and independently to meet crucial deadlines. All candidates must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen. Typical work schedule is 40 hours per week.

Specific Duties & Responsibilities

· Daily time entry from paper to payroll software

· Ensure weekly multi-state payroll can be processed accurately.

· Understanding of employee health insurance benefits.

· Use of healthcare portals

· Resolve discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information.

· Review and confirm all data entered is 100% accurate.

· Maintain office area cleanliness and organization.

· Must type 50 wpm and know 10-key by touch.

· Familiarity with Microsoft Office and other computer programs.

· Ability to continuously enter data throughout your entire shift.

· Must be 18 years of age.

· Positive attitude and work ethic

· Able to work independently or as an active member of a team

· Excellent interpersonal skills and communication with all levels of management

Essential Job Functions

· Minimum of 2 years’ experience with data entry and filing.

· Minimum of 2 years’ experience with health insurance, including enrollment, billing, and portal usage.

· Ability to maintain strict confidentiality is a must.

Administrative & Office Functions

  • Maintain employee personnel and confidential HR records
  • Process and manage onboarding, new hire documentation, and compliance paperwork
  • Maintain accurate electronic and paper filing systems
  • Enter and review payroll, benefits, and employee data with accuracy
  • Answer phones, emails, and employee inquiries professionally and timely
  • Coordinate meetings, appointments, and HR scheduling activities

Computer & Communication Functions

  • Regular use of computers, dual monitors, keyboards, telephones, printers, scanners, and office software
  • Frequent data entry and document review requiring attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing with employees, managers, vendors, and government agencies
  • Ability to participate in Teams/video meetings and telephone conversations

Cognitive & Concentration Functions

  • Maintain concentration and attention to detail for extended periods
  • Handle confidential and sensitive information appropriately
  • Make decisions and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to safely and effectively perform duties requiring sustained alertness and judgment

  • Maintain regular and reliable attendance
  • Ability to work scheduled hours consistently
  • Ability to respond to time-sensitive HR and payroll matters
  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities simultaneously

Physical Requirements

  • Sit for extended periods throughout the workday. Occasionally stand, walk, bend, stoop, and reach
  • Frequently use hands and fingers for typing and office equipment operation

Safety-Sensitive / Environmental Considerations

  • Ability to safely work in an office environment without posing a safety risk to self or others
  • Ability to remain alert and responsive while performing work duties

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 – $22.00 per hour
