Scion Nonprofit Staffing has been engaged to conduct an immediate search for
a Recertification Specialist on behalf of our client, a non-profit organization focused on creating and preserving affordable housing in Chicago, IL! This is a full-time, onsite, contract opportunity!
Pay – $20/hour with opportunities for growth
Responsibilities:
• Manage the recertification process, ensuring all required documentation is submitted on time.
• Maintain and update recertification lists, databases, and lease renewal schedules.
• Assist property management with initial certification interviews.
• Coordinate interim and annual recertifications, including file calculations.
• Schedule recertification appointments, issue notices, and send required documents and verifications to tenants.
• Ensure all paperwork is completed and submitted by deadlines.
• Report any non-compliance, fraud, or issues with tenant income limits to property management.
• Review applications and documents for compliance approval.
• Maintain organized resident and applicant files to remain in compliance.
• Provide key performance metrics and reports related to recertifications.
• Offer clerical support, including file maintenance, data entry, and relief for front desk staff when needed.
Qualifications:
Valid Driver’s License and Vehicle Insurance required
