Saint Francis — Manchester is a non-profit Assisted Living Facility at 65 West Clopton St., Richmond. We are seeking a dedicated, professional, positive, energetic, customer oriented Full-time Front Desk Concierge to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests and will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming environment and monitoring the front entrance area, main switchboard, resident call system, two-way radios, and ensuring a safe and secure facility. This position requires excellent communication skills, strong customer service abilities, and a proactive approach to handling various administrative tasks.
Work Schedule: 11.50 hour – shifts, 4 days on (Sat, Sun, Mon, Tue), 1 day off (Wed), 2 days on (Thu, Fri), 4 days off (Sat, Sun, Mon, Tue), 1 day on (Wed), 2 days off (Thu, Fri) in each two-week pay cycle.

Job Overview:
- Greet, converse with, and assist residents throughout each day; provide banking services, deliver mail and arrange transportation services.
- Greet and assist guests upon arrival, ensuring a warm and friendly atmosphere.
- Manage phone calls, resident call system, two-way radios, and respond to inquiries with professionalism and courtesy.
- Perform administrative tasks such as resident banking, sorting and/or delivering mail, filing, data entry, and maintaining copy machine and office supplies.
· Secure facility as instructed and conduct end of shift security checks.
· Monitor and alert staff and/or respond to front door and room alarms and wonder guards.
· Monitor emergency resident call system and inform designated staff as appropriate.
· Coordinate SFM emergency response procedures as instructed.
· Contact persons to be notified for emergency or system malfunctions as instructed.
· Coordinate transportation and/or assist with other services for residents, as appropriate.
· Sort and deliver U.S. mail.
- Provide exceptional customer support by addressing guest concerns and resolving issues promptly.
- Maintain an organized front desk area to ensure efficiency in operations.
- Assist with scheduling appointments.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless communication and service delivery.
- Ensure a safe and secure facility.
Minimum Education and Experience: High school diploma or GED, and Experienced as receptionist, dispatcher, concierge, security guard, or emergency responder. Two (2) years of exceptional customer service experience functioning effectively, reacting calmly, and confidently in emergency situations and a highly interactive environment; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
Physical Requirements& Work Conditions: Must be able speak, read and write the English language; communicate effectively; sit continuously, stand and walk occasionally; use dexterity of fingers; perform fine manipulation and gross grasp with dominant hand and arm continuously, pushing and pulling with dominant hand and arm occasionally; gross grasp, pushing and pulling with non-dominant hand and arm occasionally; use repetitive foot motion with both feet and legs occasionally; lift 1-5 lbs continuously, 6-20 lbs occasionally, 21-50 lbs rarely, 50-over 100 lbs rarely and with assistance; bend, stoop, squat, kneel, climb/balance rarely; reach above shoulders and crawl rarely; use repetitive arm motions frequently; drive safely and responsibly (if and when requested to drive for work purposes); or effectively compensate for the above.
Primarily work indoors in a sedentary, front desk, receptionist work environment, on all days of the week for a seven-day a week operation, between the hours of 7 a.m. – 9:00 p.m., as determined to be needed. Must be able to assist other staff to physically aid or lift residents. Heavy lifting is involved at times. Will need to stoop, reach and lift equipment and boxes. Nature of work may expose employee to hazardous materials and human body fluids and waste requiring use of protective gloves and universal precautions. May need to drive for work purposes.
Must maintain current CPR/AED/First Aid certifications. Must have annual TB screenings.
