Overview
Front Desk Staff Jobs in Glendale, CA at Fr3running Society
FR3RUNNING Society is a parkour and youth movement gym with two locations in Los Angeles. We’ve been running since 2018 and serve kids through adults in group classes, open gym, birthday parties, and camps. Front desk is the first and last impression every family has of us. This role owns that experience.
This is not a passive role. You’re the information hub, the problem-solver, and the face of the gym on the floor and through every email and phone call. You’ll be working with iClassPro (our class management system), Square, and 17hats, and you’ll be expected to get sharp on all three.
What You’ll Do
Customer & Family Experience
- Greet every family that walks in and make them feel like they belong here
- Handle walk-in inquiries, phone calls, and emails with clarity and warmth
- Guide new families through the enrollment and trial process from first contact to first class
- Answer questions about programs, pricing, scheduling, and policies accurately
- Handle parent concerns with professionalism; escalate to the Operations Manager when needed
Enrollment & Account Management
- Process enrollments, drops, transfers, and account changes in iClassPro
- Manage class waitlists and communicate availability to families
- Collect and log payments through Square
- Maintain clean, accurate client records across all systems
- Track and follow up on billing issues, missing payments, and account flags
Daily Operations
- Open and close the facility following the shift checklist
- Complete and log the daily front desk checklist (missed calls, voicemails, drops, transfers, parent concerns, emails)
- Monitor the gym floor during open hours; coordinate with coaches on class logistics
- Keep the front desk area, lobby, and restrooms clean and stocked
- Stock supplies and flag anything running low
- Complete shift handoff notes so the next shift starts informed
Communication
- Respond to emails within 24 hours, same-day when possible
- Return missed calls and voicemails before the end of your shift
- Send enrollment confirmations, drop confirmations, and policy emails accurately
- Coordinate with coaches and admin via internal channels
What We’re Looking For
- 1+ year of customer service, front desk, or administrative experience — gym or youth program background preferred
- Organized and detail-oriented; things don’t fall through the cracks on your watch
- Comfortable with software — iClassPro, Square, and Google Workspace (or you pick up new tools fast)
- Clear, professional written and verbal communication
- Stays calm under pressure when the lobby is full and the phone is ringing
- Genuinely good with kids and patient with parents
- Reliable — you show up on time and ready for your shift
Nice to Have
- Background in martial arts, gymnastics, dance, parkour, or action sports
- Experience with 17hats or similar CRM
- Experience handling events i.e. birthday party or camp logistics
Compensation & Schedule
- $18-$25 hourly pay, DOE
- Shifts are primarily afternoons, evenings, and weekends — this is when the gym is busiest. Morning shifts available during camp weeks.
- Both part-time and full-time availability considered
