About the Front Desk Receptionist / Optometric Technician Position
We are seeking a personable, energetic team member to fill the combined role of Optometric Technician & Front Desk Receptionist. As the first point of contact for our patients and customers, you will play a crucial role in ensuring everyone feels valued and cared for from the moment they step through our doors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet patients and customers warmly and professionally.
- Perform pretesting on patients, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Schedule appointments and manage the appointment calendar.
- Verify insurance coverage and process claims.
- Handle phone calls and emails with a courteous and helpful manner.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of front desk area and patient waiting areas.
- Assist with optical and lab tasks as needed.
- Monitor and manage inventory of office and medical supplies.

Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a medical office setting preferred.
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly and positive demeanor.
- Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail.
- Proficient computer skills, including experience with medical office software.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Work Schedule:
This position typically follows a 4-day work week schedule with shifts on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, averaging approximately 8-9 hours per day. Wednesdays are typically off, providing a consistent weekday schedule with no weekend work required.
