Front Desk Receptionist/Customer Service – Swing Shift Jobs in Asheville, NC at South Asheville Veterinary Emergency & Specialty (SAVES)
South Asheville Veterinary Emergency & Specialty (SAVES) is looking for Experienced Veterinary Client Service Representatives to join our team!

As a Client Service Representative (CSR), you must have a strong commitment to client satisfaction and a have a highly developed sense of integrity. Must be able to demonstrate excellence in caring for and interacting with our clients. Every client’s first impression of the hospital is created by their experience with the CSR.
The person in the position must be professional, friendly, courteous, and capable of handling challenging situations with ease. CSRs are the goodwill ambassador for the hospital and will coordinate and represent all facets of the client care experience.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Deliver outstanding customer service with professionalism and compassion
- Ensure every client is treated with respect and empathy
- Represent SAVES core values in every interaction
- Maintain an approachable, polished presence with clients, visitors, and staff
- Greet and assist clients; manage patient check-ins and check-outs
- Schedule follow-up appointments and coordinate client flow
- Sign in visitors and vendors courteously and accurately
- Support clients through the euthanasia paperwork process with sensitivity
- Discuss payment options and process client payments
- Complete End-of-Shift reporting and documentation
- Perform daily administrative tasks: email medical records and invoices
- Operate a multi-line phone system to efficiently manage and route calls
- Monitor and respond to all incoming communication (calls, texts, emails)
- Support additional tasks and responsibilities as needed
About You:
- Exceptional Customer Service – Ability to communicate with empathy, patience, and professionalism
- Strong Interpersonal Skills – Comfortable interacting with clients in emotionally sensitive situations
- Verbal & Written Communication – Clear, concise, and compassionate communication across phone, email, and in person
- Multitasking & Time Management – Handle multiple responsibilities and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Conflict Resolution – Stay calm under pressure and help resolve client concerns diplomatically
- Attention to Detail – Accurate data entry, documentation, and handling of sensitive paperwork
- Technical Proficiency – Familiarity with multi-line phone systems, M365 Office Suite, and veterinary software (EzyVet preferred)
- Team Collaboration – Work seamlessly with medical and administrative teams
- Emotional Resilience – Maintain professionalism and compassion during challenging and emotional client interactions
- Dependability – Reliable, punctual, and committed to high standards of service and care

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Valid high school diploma or GED.
- At least two years working in a customer service environment
- At least two years veterinary office experience
- Must be computer literate and able to learn new software
- Excellent communication skills
- Demonstrate a strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Be flexible and able to adapt to new situations
- Work well as part of a team
