Position: Front Desk Reciptionist

Summary:

The restaurant hostess is the first employee to interact with arriving guests as they enter the restaurant.

It is the job of the hostess to greet arriving guests, welcome them into the establishment, and seat

them. The hostess is a personal representation of the service and overall hospitality of the staff of the

restaurant. While guests are waiting to be seated or waiting for take-out orders to be ready, it is the job

of the hostess to ensure that the guests are made comfortable and kept informed of the status of their

orders or wait times.

Pay: Hourly Pay $17-21 an hour based upon experience

Responsibilities:

 Warmly greet and welcome guests upon arrival.

 Manage the reservation system and coordinate seating arrangements.

 Communicate effectively with the waitstaff and kitchen team to ensure smooth service.

 Monitor the dining area to accommodate special requests and optimize table turnover.

 Provide accurate wait times and manage reservations during peak hours.

 Answer phones, make reservations, and provide information about the restaurant.

 Maintain cleanliness and organization in the host area.

 Assist in managing the flow of guests to ensure a positive experience.

Qualifications:

 Previous experience in a host/hostess or customer service role is preferred.

 Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

 Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure.

 Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.

 A positive and welcoming attitude.

 Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.

 Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

 High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

 Basic reading skills
