Key Job Responsibilities
- Guest Service: Welcome guests with a friendly, professional demeanor, providing superior customer care to ensure a positive experience.
- Check-in/Check-out: Manage the arrival and departure process efficiently, handling registration, room assignments, and payments according to Best Western standards.
- Reservations & Communication: Handle incoming phone calls, manage reservations, and resolve guest queries or complaints promptly.
- System Operations: Utilize the hotel’s property management system (PMS) for guest data management, billing, and room updates.
- Area Maintenance: Maintain a tidy, professional front desk area and monitor the lobby entrance to ensure safety and security.
- Local Expertise: Act as a resource for guests by providing information on local attractions, dining, and events.
- Collaboration: Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance teams to ensure guest rooms and special requests are fulfilled.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Customer Service: Strong, personable communication skills with a focus on resolving issues quickly.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with computers and ability to learn property management software quickly.
- Flexibility: Availability to work flexible schedules, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Organization: Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience: Previous hospitality or front desk experience is often preferred but not always required.
Typical Benefits & Working Environment
Positions are available as full-time or part-time, and we offer employee discounts after a 90-day probationary period. The environment requires working on-site and standing for extended periods.
