Big Bang Fireworks is one of Florida’s leading fireworks retailers, operating a year-round superstore and multiple seasonal locations during our busiest holiday periods. We are looking for a dependable, organized, and motivated Recruiter / Fireworks Retail Specialist to support both our hiring operations and in-store retail operations.
Note: Fireworks knowledge is a MUST
This is a hands-on role that combines recruiting, phone communication, customer service, fireworks sales, inventory support, restocking, and daily store operations. The ideal candidate is comfortable speaking with people, staying organized, helping customers, and jumping in wherever needed.
This is not a desk-only position and not a cashier-only position. You will be involved in both office work and store operations.

Primary ResponsibilitiesRecruiting & Hiring Support
- Review job applications and candidate information
- Call potential applicants and schedule interviews
- Conduct initial phone screenings
- Follow up with applicants throughout the hiring process
- Maintain applicant records and hiring spreadsheets
- Help coordinate staffing for seasonal and year-round positions
Fireworks Sales & Customer Service
- Assist customers with fireworks product selection
- Answer customer questions about fireworks categories, effects, and product options
- Recommend products based on customer needs, event type, and budget
- Provide professional customer service in person and over the phone
- Help customers understand safe and responsible product use
- Process sales transactions accurately
Inventory & Store Operations
- Restock shelves and product displays
- Receive, organize, count, and move inventory
- Help maintain accurate inventory records
- Keep the store clean, organized, and fully stocked
- Assist with product labeling, pricing, merchandising, and displays
- Support daily store operations and assist management as needed
Administrative & Office Support
- Work with spreadsheets, email systems, and general office software
- Organize candidate, employee, and business records
- Assist with scheduling and operational follow-up tasks
- Help coordinate communication between applicants, team members, and management
- Support office and store tasks as needed
Qualifications
- Comfortable making a high volume of phone calls
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Knowledge of consumer fireworks is required
- Comfortable selling fireworks and making product recommendations
- Organized and detail-oriented
- Basic computer and spreadsheet skills
- Able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated
- Comfortable handling inventory, restocking, and moving products
- Previous recruiting, customer service, retail, sales, office, or fireworks experience is a plus
What We’re Looking For
We are looking for someone who can help with both people and products. The right candidate should be comfortable calling applicants, helping with hiring, assisting customers in the store, organizing inventory, restocking shelves, and supporting daily operations.
This role is best for someone who is proactive, dependable, organized, and willing to take ownership of different tasks throughout the day.
