Position Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Executive Assistant to support a fast-paced CEO within a mission-driven nonprofit organization. This role requires a proactive, detail-oriented professional who can operate independently and bring strong, hands-on experience supporting boards and committees.

This is a critical position where the ideal candidate will be able to step in and own board and governance-related responsibilities with minimal ramp-up, in addition to providing high-level executive support.

  • Maintain organization of executive communications, scheduling, and follow-ups

Board & Committee Support (Core Function of Role):

  • Draft and distribute agendas, materials, and supporting documentation
  • Take accurate, detailed meeting minutes and ensure proper documentation of proceedings
  • Maintain and manage governing documents and board records

  • 3–5+ years of executive support experience at the senior leadership level (VP or above preferred)
  • Proven ability to operate in a fast-paced, high-demand environment with minimal supervision
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Exceptional organizational skills with strong attention to detail
  • Clear, direct communicator with a professional and grounded approach
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and adapt quickly to shifting needs

Work Environment

This is a fully onsite role, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM. Alignment with the CEO’s schedule is required. Some flexibility may exist based on the CEO’s schedule. No overtime is expected.

Additional Notes

This role requires a candidate who brings established expertise in board and committee support. While other executive assistant responsibilities are important, governance experience is a key priority and essential for long-term success in this position.
