Position Description
ABOUT THE POSITION
Operating under limited direction, the Executive Assistant applies comprehensive knowledge of Court policies, procedures, and operational practices while exercising tact, diplomacy, and professionalism in all interactions. This position plays a key role in maintaining alignment with the Court’s mission and strategic plan by anticipating needs, resolving issues proactively, and ensuring timely progress on strategic initiatives. Executive Assistants may provide work direction to other administrative support professionals.
Current vacancies are available within the Court’s Finance and Administration department and the Court Technology Services department.

SELECTION REQUIREMENTS
OPTION I: 60 semester (90 quarter) units from an accredited college or university* and six (6) years of highly responsible** administrative support experience
OPTION II: Seven (7) years of highly responsible** administrative support experience

**Highly responsible administrative support involves the performance of high-level tasks with a considerable degree of autonomy, judgment, and discretion, typically in support of management or senior executives.
Note: Credit for experience is given based on a 40-hour workweek. Part-time experience is credited on a pro-rate basis (e.g., working 20 hours per week for two months equals one month of experience). Overtime does not count toward additional credit.
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills; ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, OneNote, Copilot, search applications and SharePoint.
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a demonstrated capacity to identify issues and develop innovative, technology-driven solutions.
- Experience providing executive-level support within a high-impact, organization-wide environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage sensitive and complex situations with discretion, tact, and diplomacy.
- Experience supervising or providing work direction to administrative support staff.
