Details
- Title: Event Coordinator
- Salary: $60,820 – $72,223 – $83,627 per year (pay range explained below)
- Contract: Permanent
- Hours: 9:00 am – 5:00 pm (core hours 9 am‑3 pm Mon‑Fri)
- Location: Park Royal office, Metro Vancouver on the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territory of the Coast Salish Peoples, including the territories of the Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil-Waututh Nations. Hybrid working is an option in line with FNHA’s flex work policy. This role will relocate to our new office building in North Vancouver on Tsleil-Waututh Nation (TWN) land in spring 2027.
About
The Role
As an Event Coordinator, you will support the Travel and Events Unit, a centralized service that assists FNHA departments with the organization and implementation of large and complex events across British Columbia. You will provide comprehensive, senior‑level administrative and technical support for the unit’s daily operations by ensuring efficient delivery of event‑coordination, including the development and implementation of plans, systems, processes, and procedures essential for effective business operations.
Qualifications
Education
- A diploma in event management or business administration, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience
- Two (2) years of recent experience in a senior administrative capacity focused on event coordination.
- Experience working with BC First Nations communities and/or organizations.
- Entry‑level experience with project management methodologies is an asset.
- Experience in a customer service environment.
- Experience developing and maintaining administrative systems, processes, and procedures.
- Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with Adobe Acrobat Pro is an asset.
- Experience working with People Soft, SharePoint, and online registration/attendee management systems is an asset.
Knowledge
- Knowledge of the FNHA, its structure, and inter‑dependencies.

The Pay Range is the minimum and maximum annual salary based on full‑time equivalent hours. Incumbents are typically hired, transferred, or promoted between the minimum and midpoint of the range based on their knowledge, skills, abilities, and experience. The top 10% of the pay range is reserved for incumbents who are industry experts with exceptional experience and competencies, resulting in superior capability performance.
Internal employee compensation is determined per the FNHA Employee Total Compensation Policy.
