Job Description

Are you an excellent Receptionist? Do you have outstanding Customer Service skills and enjoy greeting and helping people?? Have you been looking for the perfect position that allows you to WORK FROM A DESK (occasionally move around when needed), SLEEP IN DURING THE WEEK, and get paid for all that you do?!?! If you answered “YES!!!” to each of these questions, you are ready to join our team at Southern Volkswagen!

As our Service Department Receptionist, YOU will answer our phones and direct those calls as needed. YOU will also greet every person who comes through those doors with positive energy, ready to help, and make each person feel right at home! As the primary point of contact for the overall dealership, YOU set the tone by being an outstanding listener and a trusted source of information. YOU will learn the names of our team members at the dealership and the departments where they work, getting them as quickly as possible for new and/or returning customers. There are also administrative duties that each Receptionist will learn and will be required to complete during each shift, and we know that YOU can do it! Your weekly schedule will be as follows:

Monday thru Friday: 2PM – 6PM

Every Saturday: 7AM – 6PM

That’s right!!! You get to sleep in Monday through Friday, and your work day is done in enough time on a Saturday to still enjoy your evening!! Interviews begin IMMEDIATELY!!!! Apply today, and you can have a new career by next week!

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED and previous experience in a position of similar responsibility (front desk, administrative assistant, etc.). Candidates must have a pleasant and courteous personality, strong administrative and organizational skills, strong phone and computer skills, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Automotive dealership experience is a plus.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Greets all customers in a warm, sincere, and helpful manner
  • Directs customers to the appropriate department or point of contact within the dealership
  • Manages inbound calls and routes accordingly
  • Coordinates questions and issues with the appropriate department personnel
  • Helps with problem resolution as required
  • Provides administrative back-up to various dealership departments as needed
  • Performs other duties as assigned


QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Customer service or related experience preferred
  • Automotive dealership experience preferred
  • Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills, including the ability to maintain composure under stress
  • Excellent telephone skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Helpful attitude and friendly demeanor
  • Highly professional and dependable
  • Strong computer and internet skills
