Estimating Assistant

Salary: $25.00-$32.00/Hr.

Express Employment of Laguna Hills is recruiting for a detail-oriented Estimating Assistant for a great client in Costa Mesa. This position is evaluation to hire, full time.

Shift: Mon-Fri 8am-5pm

Pay: $21-$32/Hr.

This role will support the estimating department by preparing proposal paperwork, performing data entry, compiling project costs, and assisting with billing, job costing, and project logistics. The Estimating Assistant will primarily use BuildingConnected (Autodesk), and Esticom (Procore), and QuickBooks Online in addition to cloud-based folder management to support accurate and timely estimating processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and organize paperwork for proposals
• Perform accurate data entry and maintain organized records
• Utilize Excel to compile, analyze, and summarize cost estimates (if needed)
• Work with BuildingConnected and Esticom to support estimating processes and reporting
• Assist with billing entry to ensure accurate invoicing and cost tracking
• Support job costing activities, including monitoring project expenses and updating cost records
• Assist in project logistics, including coordinating part deliveries and ensuring timely receipt of materials

Qualifications:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Familiarity with BuildingConnected (Autodesk) and Esticom (Procore) preferred
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Great with math or numbers is ideal
• Experience with billing entry, job costing, or logistics coordination is a plus
