Primary Talent Partners has a new contract opening for a Document Control Specialist I with our large power and utilities client in Cincinnati, OH. This is a 24-month contract with a potential for extension.
Pay: $20.00 – $22.00/hr; W2 contract, no PTO, no Benefits. ACA-compliant supplemental package available for enrollment. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States and must be able to sit on Primary Talent Partners W2 without sponsorship.
Description:
This position is responsible for a pitch and purge effort of hard copy documents at our 4th and Main office in Cincinnati, OH. They will be reviewing hard copy documents and microfilm images, comparing them to files in our electronic document management system, and then they will make a determination on if the hard copy file is needing to be scanned or if it can be purged. This position will be a full time in office position.
- High School Diploma Required.
- 2+ years of experience in document control, records management, or administrative support
- Experience working with electronic document management systems (EDMS) and digital filing tools
- Strong ability to review, compare, and validate documents across physical and electronic formats
- Familiarity with document retention policies, compliance standards, and purge protocols
- High attention to detail with the ability to identify discrepancies and ensure data accuracy
- Experience handling large volumes of physical documents and/or microfilm records preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Ability to work independently in a structured, process-driven environment
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize high-volume workloads
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- Experience in utility, energy, or regulated industries (nice to have)
