We are hiring a Document Control Manager to join our Technical team.
Expected Compensation
The exact salary you will earn is dependent on the specific project to which you are assigned. Currently, the salary range for projects you may be assigned to in the position of Electrical Package Manager is $120 to $135 K.
What You Will Be Doing?
- Designing, implementing, and maintaining the project Comon Data Environment (CDE) for the C6ix CJV and with the CA (Aconex and Unifier) reviewing, implementing, and enhancing the C6ix CJV document control frameworks, processes, and systems to support effective project documentation management and support the project delivery activities.
- Overseeing and mentoring the C6ix CJV document control team, ensuring high standards of accuracy, consistency, and timeliness in all deliverables. Ensuring the right organization and functioning of the DC resources across the DC team interaction with multiple project disciplines.
- Defining and maintaining document management standards, including versioning, distribution, filing, and archival procedures, and maintaining the quality and integrity of all project documentation, such as drawings, technical specifications, contracts, permits, and correspondence within the C6ix CJV CDE environments.
- Working closely with the CJV Project department leads, engineers, subcontractors, and stakeholders to streamline document workflows and ensure prompt reviews and approvals.
- Monitoring and enforcing compliance with relevant C6ix Management Plans, industry standards, internal Client policies governing document control processes within the Project and supporting internal/external audits.
- Producing and analyzing reports on document control performance, including progress updates, key metrics, and audit outcomes.
- Providing guidance and adequate training to the C6ix CJV project teams on document management practices and system usage.
- Checking the quality and formatting of the documentation provided by Design Consultants and subcontractors
- Generating transmittals to send documentation to external parties through electronic or hard copy means
- Expediting the review of internal and external documentation within engineering departments
What We Are Looking For ?
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Management, Engineering, or a related field
- 7–10+ years of experience in document control/records management, preferably within construction, engineering, or major infrastructure projects
- Strong knowledge and good overall understanding of:
Document control processes, procedures, and best industry practices;
Document lifecycle management (creation, review, approval, distribution, archiving);
Industry standards and compliance requirements (e.g., ISO standards, project-specific protocols) - Proficiency in document management systems (e.g., Aconex, Unifier, SharePoint, Project Wise, EDMS platforms)
- Experience Managing large volumes of technical and project documentation (e.g.,drawings, specifications, contracts)
- Strong leadership experience, including managing document control teams/resources, and coordinating across multiple stakeholders
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong communication and coordination skills when working with engineers, contractors, and project teams
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced project environment
