Job Summary
The Secretary to the Superintendent provides high-level administrative and confidential support to the Superintendent and serves as a key liaison between the Superintendent, Board of Education, district staff, and the community. This position requires discretion, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct administrative support to the Superintendent, including calendar management, correspondence, and scheduling of meetings and appointments
- Prepare, proofread, and distribute correspondence, reports, and official documents
- Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive information and communications
- Coordinate all Board of Education meeting logistics, including preparation and distribution of agendas and materials
- Record and prepare accurate minutes of Board meetings
- Ensure compliance with public meeting requirements, including posting notices and maintaining official records
- Maintain Board policies and updates
Qualifications
- High school diploma required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred
- Prior administrative or secretarial experience, preferably in a school or public sector setting
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in office software (e.g., Microsoft Office, Google Workspace)
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Knowledge of school district operations and Board procedures preferred

Pay: $45,000.00 – $50,000.00 per year
