We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Treatment Coordinator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing patient treatment plans, ensuring efficient communication between patients and the dental team, and facilitating a smooth patient experience within our clinic. This position requires a blend of clerical skills, medical office management experience, and a strong understanding of dental procedures.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate patient treatment plans by collaborating with dentists and other healthcare professionals.
- Manage patient records using dental software systems such as Open Dental, eClinicalWorks, or Epic.
- Conduct insurance verification to ensure coverage for treatments and procedures.
- Schedule appointments and follow-up visits while maintaining an organized calendar for the dental team.
- Provide clerical support by answering phones, responding to inquiries, and assisting patients with paperwork.
- Maintain a clean and welcoming office environment that enhances the patient experience.
- Educate patients on treatment options and financial responsibilities related to their care.
- Assist in managing office operations to ensure efficient workflow within the clinic.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a dental clinic or medical office management is preferred.
- Familiarity with ICD-10 coding is advantageous.
- Proficiency in using dental software systems such as Open Dental, eClinicalWorks, or Epic is highly desirable.
- Strong clerical skills with attention to detail and accuracy in managing patient information.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with patients and team members.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism and empathy towards patients.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to providing exceptional patient care.
