Job Summary
EDDA: We are a family care dental office seeking a skilled Expanded Duty Dental Assistant (EDDA) to add to our dynamic dental team. Our doctor is understanding, flexible and appreciative! The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge and experience in general dentistry: Crown/bridge impressions, temp crowns, placing composite fillings, denture adjustments. This role involves providing chairside assistance, performing various dental procedures, and ensuring a high standard of patient care while adhering to safety and infection control protocols.
Dental Receptionist: We are seeking a bilingual, (Spanish), confident candidate that has a minimum of 2 years experience. Experience with Orthodontics is a plus but not required.
Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques.
- Perform X-rays and other medical imaging as required, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Manage patient records and medical documentation accurately.
- Take vital signs and prepare patients for treatment by explaining procedures and addressing any concerns.
- Maintain an aseptic environment by following infection control protocols and ensuring all equipment is sanitized.
- Utilize dental terminology effectively to communicate with both patients and team members.
- Assist in prosthodontics, endodontics, and general dentistry procedures as needed.
Requirements
- Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques is essential.
- Ability to perform chairside assisting duties effectively while maintaining patient comfort.
- Strong communication skills to interact with patients of all ages as well as team members.
- Must be detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus
- Work every other Saturday 8:00 am – 2:00 pm
