Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and professional Dental Receptionist to serve as the first point of contact for our dental practice. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strong background in medical administrative support, and a passion for providing outstanding patient service. As a Dental Receptionist, you will manage front desk operations, coordinate patient appointments, and verify insurance information. Your role is vital in creating a welcoming environment while maintaining accurate documentation and supporting the clinical team.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and professionally, ensuring a positive first impression.
- Coordinate patient appointments, treatment plans, and follow-up care to ensure seamless scheduling and communication.
- Schedule patient appointments efficiently using dental office management software such as Softdent.
- Verify insurance coverage and benefits through systems ensuring accurate dental billing and coding.
- Collect payments and perform dental billing tasks.
- Maintain organized medical records and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality.
- Answer multi-line phone systems with proper phone etiquette, directing calls appropriately and managing appointment rescheduling.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and managing electronic health records (EHR systems).
- Ensure accurate documentation review for processing claims, verifying insurance benefits, and assisting with insurance verification.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing patient inquiries promptly and professionally.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as Dental Receptionist within a healthcare or dental setting. MINIMUM 4 YEARS REQUIRED*****
- Familiarity with dental office management software such as Softdent
- Excellent computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and typing (including 10-key).
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and health information management practices to ensure confidentiality and compliance.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

- Monday 9:30am-7
- Tuesday 12-6
- Wednesday 8:45-6
- Thursday off
- Friday 9-6
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $20.00 – $27.00 per hour
