We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Dental Receptionist to join our vibrant dental practice. Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and professionally, providing outstanding customer service at all times
- Schedule appointments accurately using dental practice management software (Dentrix)
- Verify insurance coverage, perform insurance eligibility checks, and handle insurance verification processes
- Manage patient check-in and check-out procedures efficiently, including collecting payments and updating medical records
- Answer multi-line phone systems with professionalism, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette and communication skills
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations by safeguarding patient information and maintaining confidentiality at all times
- Coordinate with clinical staff for patient intake, medical history updates, and care plan documentation
Experience
- Prior experience working in a dental or medical office environment is highly preferred, but will train on site
- Demonstrated proficiency with dental practice management software like Dentrix is a plus
- Experience handling insurance verification processes for Medicaid and other insurance providers, but will train on site
- Bilingual abilities are highly valued to serve diverse patient populations effectively
