Responsibilities
- Manage patient intake, appointment scheduling, and clinic flow using advanced EMR (Electronic Dental Records) systems such as Dentrix, Eagle soft, Mango, and Modento.
- Verify insurance coverage and benefits through systems like Athenahealth and perform insurance eligibility checks to facilitate seamless billing processes.
- Handle dental billing and coding tasks including CDT 2026 codes, ensuring accurate documentation review and compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Maintain meticulous dental records and dental files, ensuring confidentiality and adherence to health information management standards.
- Provide exceptional patient service by answering multi-line phone systems with professionalism and courtesy while managing appointment reminders and follow-ups.
- Support the dental team with administrative duties such as filing, data entry (including 10-key typing), and managing office supplies to keep the front desk running efficiently.
- Assist with insurance verification, claims submission, and follow-up to optimize revenue cycle management.
Skills
- Proven experience in dental office administration or Dental office management within a clinic setting.
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, CDT 2026coding, and Medicare guidelines.
- Proficiency in EMR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, Modento, and Mango
- Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel)
- Exceptional customer service skills with phone etiquette expertise and the ability to handle multi-line phone systems confidently.
- Prior clinic experience or dental office experience is preferred; familiarity with insurance verification and Dental billing processes is essential.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation review and Dental records management.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment.
