Duties
- Assist dentists during a wide range of procedures including restorations, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry treatments.
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up necessary supplies, and ensuring all equipment is functioning properly.
- Manage patient records accurately within EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like SoftDent to ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Maintain infection control standards through aseptic techniques and proper sterilization procedures to uphold clinic safety.
- Support administrative tasks such as greeting patients as a dental receptionist and scheduling appointments.
Requirements
- Proven experience working in a dental clinic environment with knowledge of dental terminology.
- Proficiency in using EMR systems such as SoftDent for managing patient records and medical documentation.
- Strong understanding of infection control practices, aseptic techniques, and sterilization protocols.
- Ability to perform chairside assisting efficiently in general dentistry procedures including pediatric dentistry, prosthodontics, and other specialties.
- Knowledge of dental radiography including X-ray procedures and other advanced imaging tools preferred.
- Familiarity with medical terminology, medical coding, and handling medical records securely under HIPAA guidelines.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members such as dental receptionists and hygienists.

Pay: $18.00 – $19.00 per hour
