Location: Houston, TX
Pay Rate: $22.00–$25.00/hour
Employment Type: Temporary Contract (6 months)
Work Arrangement: Hybrid (Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday onsite)
Overtime: Possible overtime available
Job Summary
We are seeking a detail‑oriented Data Specialist responsible for preparing, loading, editing, and packaging Answer Products for Petrophysical, Geological, and/or Borehole Reservoir data. This role supports data archiving, quality review, and secure delivery of digital datasets using in‑house software tools. The ideal candidate is comfortable with repetitive tasks, maintains close attention to detail, and communicates effectively within a small team environment.
Responsibilities
- Support the Archive team by transferring data to the archive using in‑house software.
- Load digital data and perform quality checks to ensure data integrity before processing.
- Prepare data through depth matching, splicing, merging, and other editing tasks.
- Perform basic image and log normalization; support dip picking as required.
- Generate final data composites based on interpreted products from PTE or Solutions teams.
- Manage digital data transmission through physical delivery or web‑based platforms.
- Ensure accurate, secure, and timely delivery of data products.
- Communicate effectively with a small team and relevant stakeholders.
- Maintain consistency and accuracy while performing routine, repetitive daily tasks.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and data accuracy.
- Ability to communicate professionally within a small team environment (team of 4).
- Willingness to perform repetitive tasks with consistency.
- Comfort working with the same daily job functions.
- No prior experience required; training provided on the job (OJT).
Pay: Up to $23.00 per hour
