Location: San Diego, CA 92123
Schedule: M-F 8:30am-5pm
Position Type: Temp to hire
Pay Rate: $18-$19 per hour
What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll play a vital behind-the-scenes role in keeping patient data accurate and secure — work that genuinely matters. Day to day, you’ll:
- Transfer and input data across multiple healthcare EMR (electronic medical records) systems, databases, and spreadsheets with precision
- Review records for completeness and flag discrepancies to keep information reliable
- Ensure patient information flows correctly between systems — no detail gets missed
- Maintain clean, organized digital and physical filing systems
- Scan, upload, and properly label documents for easy retrieval
- Serve as a go-to resource for data-related questions from your team
What We’re Looking For
- High school diploma or GED
- 1+ year of experience in healthcare or data entry
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with strong Excel skills (pivot tables & conditional formatting a plus)
- Typing speed of 45+ WPM with high accuracy
- Sharp eye for detail and a knack for staying organized
- Comfortable working with confidential information and following data security best practices
- A team player who thrives in a collaborative, close-knit environment
- Ability to stay focused and efficient through detail-oriented, repetitive work
