Job Description

RESEARCH INSTITUTE OF THE MUHC

The Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre (RI-MUHC) is a world-renowned biomedical and hospital research centre. Located in Montreal, Quebec, the Institute is the research arm of the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC) affiliated with the Faculty of Medicine at McGill University. The RI-MUHC is supported in part by the Fonds de recherche du Québec – Santé (FRQS).

Position Summary

Department / Research Program: Cardiac Electrophysiology. Cardiovascular Health Across the Lifespan Program

Under the supervision of the manager of the Clinical Research Unit in cardiac electrophysiology and the Principle Investigator, the incumbent will be responsible for supporting the successful conduct of clinical research studies.

General Duties

  • Enters data according to the protocol,
  • Contributes to the follow-up and resolution of data requests,
  • Ensures compliance with protocol guidelines and regulatory requirements,
  • Identifies problems and inconsistencies and proposes solutions,
  • Provides weekly updates to their immediate supervisor on the data entry status for all studies,
  • Assists with the packaging and mailing of study documents,
  • Formats study documents,
  • Performs the de-identification and uploading of study-related documents to the sponsor's Electronic Data Interchange (EDI).
  • Performs any other task requested by the immediate supervisor or the delegate or the delegate.

Education: Diplome of College Studies (DEC)

Required Skills

  • Advanced knowledge of oral and written French is required.
  • An advanced knowledge of oral and written English is required, as the position requires regular and complex contact with researchers or international students who are exclusively proficient in English. The position also requires complex writing or in-depth analysis of documents in English related to a research project.
  • Ability to display a high degree of discretion in dealing with confidential information,
  • Medical terminology knowledge,
  • Clinical research experience
  • Detail-oriented, autonomous,
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel,
  • Good organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.

Additional information

Status : Temporary Part-Time: 21 hours per workweek

Pay Scale: Commensurate with education and work experience.

Work Shift: Variable schedule

Work Site: MGH, 1650 Cedar Ave.
