We are looking for a detail-oriented Data Entry Clerk to join our team on a contract basis in New York, New York. In this role, you will handle data entry tasks related to 1099 forms, ensuring accuracy and resolving discrepancies. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong organizational skills and experience in data entry to contribute to a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
• Input and update 1099 form data into Excel spreadsheets with a high degree of accuracy.
• Verify the accuracy of data entries by cross-checking with source documents.
• Identify and resolve discrepancies in data to maintain consistency and reliability.
• Organize and manage digital files, ensuring proper documentation and accessibility.
• Collaborate with team members to complete data-related tasks within deadlines.
• Utilize Microsoft Excel to format, sort, and analyze data as required.
• Convert and handle PDF files for data extraction and entry purposes.
• Maintain confidentiality and security of sensitive information during all tasks.
• Perform routine audits to ensure data integrity and compliance with company standards.
• At least 1 year of experience in data entry or a similar role.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including basic formatting and data manipulation.
• Familiarity with handling 1099 forms and other financial documents.
• Strong typing skills with a focus on speed and accuracy.
• Experience working with PDF files and converting them for data entry purposes.
• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining data accuracy.
• Ability to identify and resolve data discrepancies effectively.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills to meet deadlines.
