Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Data Annotation Associate to support AI and machine learning initiatives by organizing, labeling, reviewing, and validating scientific and research-related datasets. This role is ideal for entry-level candidates interested in biotechnology, healthcare AI, bioinformatics, or data operations.
The Data Annotation Associate will work closely with research, bioinformatics, and data science teams to improve data quality and ensure accurate dataset preparation for machine learning models and analytical platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Label, categorize, and annotate structured and unstructured datasets
- Review scientific, clinical, genomic, or research data for accuracy and consistency
- Maintain high-quality data standards and documentation practices
- Assist with data cleaning, formatting, and quality control processes
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including AI, research, and operations teams
- Identify inconsistencies or gaps within datasets and escalate issues when needed
- Follow annotation guidelines and continuously improve annotation workflows
- Support internal database and knowledge management initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred in Biology, Biotechnology, Bioinformatics, Health Sciences, Computer Science, or related field
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Comfortable working with spreadsheets, databases, and digital tools
- Basic understanding of scientific or healthcare terminology is a plus
- Ability to manage repetitive tasks with high accuracy
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Prior experience with data annotation, research, or AI tools is helpful but not required

Pay: $24.69 – $29.12 per hour
