Key Responsibilities
Customer Interaction & Front Desk Support
- Greet customers warmly and create a welcoming first impression.
- Direct walk‑in customers to the appropriate Service Advisor or department.
- Answer incoming calls and ask basic automotive screening questions to route inquiries accurately.
- Provide general information about services, scheduling, and shop processes.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional front desk area.
Service Coordination
- Gather initial customer and vehicle information to support efficient service intake.
- Communicate clearly with Service Advisors to ensure smooth handoffs.
- Assist with scheduling appointments and updating customer records.
Checkout & Payment Processing
- Process customer payments, including checks, credit cards, and EFTs.
- Handle basic accounts payable and receivable tasks.
- Support collections efforts by making reminder calls or sending follow‑ups when needed.
- Ensure accurate documentation and secure handling of financial information.
Administrative Support
- Assist with filing, data entry, and general office tasks.
- Help maintain accurate customer and vehicle records.
- Support internal communication between departments.
Qualifications
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Comfortable asking basic automotive questions (training provided).
- Ability to multitask and stay organized in a busy environment.
- Basic understanding of payment processing or accounts payable/receivable is a plus.
- Friendly, professional, and reliable.
- Prior automotive or service‑industry experience is helpful but not required.
