OVERVIEW:

The Customer Service Scheduling Coordinator plays an important role in ensuring the smooth operation of Excel Driving School’s scheduling system and providing exceptional customer service to students and parents. This role will require answering phones, answering registration/general information questions, and scheduling related questions. This office-based position requires attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a passion for delivering outstanding service. The ideal candidate can work from 9:00am – 5:30pm Monday – Friday.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage large amounts of incoming phone calls
  • Assist in registering prospective students over the telephone.
  • Provide accurate, valid and complete information using the right methods/tools.
  • Greet all customers (students and parents) in a friendly and courteous manner during all interactions.
  • Handle all customer interactions with the highest level of service and professionalism.
  • Pass on requests in a timely and accurate manner to appropriate employees as required.
  • Organizes workflow and behind-the-wheel lessons for enrolled students
  • Schedule behind-the-wheel lessons, make-up classes and road tests for students
  • Access and management of schedules for Drivers Education Coaches (DEC) ensuring students are scheduled in an organized and timely fashion in line with Excel’s policies
  • Assign students to DECs keeping student enrollments on pace
  • Handle customer complaints, provide appropriate solutions and alternatives; follow up ensuring resolution
  • Navigate company website and troubleshoot/provide assistance to customers when required
  • Accurately enter all customer information as required
  • Supports fellow Office Staff members by assisting when required

REQUIREMENTS:

Experience

  • Minimum 2 years working in an Administrative and Customer Service role
  • Service or Hospitality industry experience is an asset.
  • High School Education or equivalent proven and related work experience.

  • Must be organized, task oriented and possess excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
  • Planning skills with the foresight to keep all student drives on pace to completion
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Must have a passion for delivering outstanding customer service
  • Strong interpersonal skills, exceptional oral and written communication skills in English
  • Ability to effectively deal with customers, while exercising high levels of patience, tact and diplomacy
  • Must be a fact finder in searching information and solutions to best serve customers
  • Ability to work well in a team environment, and harmoniously with co-workers and management
  • Proficient in MS Office applications, scheduling tools and navigating the internet
  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time and continuously perform the essential job functions
  • Comply with Excel Driving School work rules and standards per the employee handbook and as directed by management

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $17.00 per hour
