Customer Service Representative / Scheduling Coordinator
Company: Outdoor Lighting Perspectives
Location: Houston, TX (9215 Solon Road) — 100% On-Site Position Type: Full-Time, Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Compensation: $35,000-38,000 + Commissions + Performance KPI Bonuses
Benefits: 40 Hours PTO, 5 Paid Holidays, Healthcare Options, and Quarterly Team Events
The Opportunity: Own the Front Office of a Fast-Growing Brand
Are you a high-energy, hyper-organized professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment? Do you love the satisfaction of keeping a complex schedule running like a finely tuned machine?
At Outdoor Lighting Perspectives, we design and install luxury outdoor lighting systems. We are in a major growth mode, and we are looking for a go-getter to become the "engine" of our front office. You will work independently in the office, acting as the primary brand ambassador for our luxury clientele and the operational backbone for our field technicians.
Because we are expanding quickly, we need someone who takes absolute ownership of their domain and is excited to grow alongside our business.
What a "Homerun Day" Looks Like
You aren’t sitting around waiting for the phone to ring. You are proactively driving the business forward by:
- Owning the Lead Funnel: Responding instantly to new sales leads with speed, warmth, and professionalism, preparing them perfectly for their design appointments.
- Mastering Logistics: Managing and routing the field technician schedule to maximize efficiency and minimize drive time across the area.
- Driving Proactive Revenue: Making outbound calls to existing clients to follow up on unbooked service opportunities and promoting our premium Maintenance Plans (where you earn direct commission).
- Managing the CRM: Closing out daily invoices in our system (ServiceMinder) and ensuring all client payments are captured accurately.
This Job Is FOR You If:
- You possess "factory-installed" warmth: You are naturally friendly, empathetic, and an incredible listener on the phone. We can teach you our scripts, but we can’t teach you to care.
- You thrive under pressure: When the phones are ringing, a technician is lost, and a client is asking a question, you don’t freeze, you calmly write everything down, decide what to tackle first, and execute.
- You are growth-minded and coachable: You love learning, welcome feedback as a tool to get better, and enjoy pushing for big goals alongside a hardworking team.
- You take initiative: You are a self-starter who looks for ways to improve processes rather than waiting to be told what to do.
This Job Is NOT For You If:
- You prefer a slow-paced, quiet desk job with a lot of downtime.
- You struggle to manage multiple tasks at once without dropping the ball.
- You dislike making proactive outbound phone calls or talking on the phone all day.
- You prefer to just clock in, do the bare minimum, and avoid taking ownership.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Experience: Previous experience in fast-paced customer service, scheduling, dispatching, hospitality management, or administrative support is highly valued. (No luxury lighting experience required—we will train you!).
- Tech-Savvy: Comfortable navigating CRM/scheduling software, handling digital calendars, and using basic routing tools.
- Skills: Strong organization skills, excellent verbal communication, and basic mathematical competence for invoice handling.
- Vibe: Professional yet approachable. Our office dress code is casual, but our client experience is always 5-star luxury.
Why You’ll Love Our Team
We are a hardworking group that is deeply committed to bettering everything for both our customers and our employees. We celebrate our wins together with quarterly team events, offer stable Monday-Friday hours (no weekends), and give you the autonomy to run your domain while being fully supported by our leadership team.
