Job Summary

We are looking for a highly capable, tech-savvy customer service representative who can confidently manage client accounts, billing and policy changes. This is a retention and helpful role for those who like to help people with insurance situations, but we do need someone who is sharp with systems, detail oriented and able to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently. This is not a sales position. P&C Licensed in Michigan preferred.

Requirements

  • Greet visitors at the front desk with a warm, professional demeanor, ensuring they feel welcomed and attended to promptly
  • Answer and direct multi-line phone systems efficiently, providing accurate information or transferring calls as needed
  • Manage appointment scheduling and calendar coordination for staff members using Microsoft Office
  • Perform data entry, filing, and record keeping to maintain organized office files and customer records
  • Provide exceptional customer support through phone, email, or in person by addressing inquiries clearly and courteously
  • Assist with customer needs such as policy changes, billing problems, transferring to claims,
  • Support administrative functions including proofreading documents, managing correspondence, and supporting team members with clerical tasks

Skills

  • Strong computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively and manage time efficiently
  • Proven experience in office management or administrative support roles; previous clerical or receptionist experience preferred
  • Exceptional phone etiquette skills; comfortable handling multi-line phone systems with professionalism and clarity
  • Bilingual abilities are highly valued to assist diverse customer needs effectively
  • Ability to handle confidential information discreetly while maintaining accuracy in proofreading and data management
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on delivering outstanding customer service and support

Pay & Incentives:

  • Starting at $18/hour for non-State Farm experienced representatives with renegotiations after initial training periods (more inclined for full-time)
