Responsibilities
- Manage incoming customer requests via email, phone and fax
- Process orders with accuracy and attention to detail:
- Prepare Purchase Orders for Direct Shipment Orders
- Prepare shipping documents for domestic/international orders
- Manage Blanket Orders
- Create Labels with Customer specific product information
- Work with sales staff to understand the customer product/service specifications for sales orders
- Maintaining Customer Files for accuracy of Pricing, Customer Contact information, etc.
- Communicate with Customers regarding their specific order requirements
- Communicate with Customers regarding any issues that may affect the on-time delivery of a product
- Coordinate with Purchasing to procure back ordered material
- Coordinate with Warehouses for shipment of orders.
- Work with Customer’s Logistics Departments to arrange pick-up/shipment of orders
- Invoicing of orders
- Process Credits/Debits when necessary
- Coordinate with Team members to maintain work flow and provide high level of service in a fast-paced environment
Experience
- Prior experience in distribution business preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and basic computer literacy.
- Experience with customer service roles that involve handling orders and inquiries via phone or email.
- Ability to work in both a Team environment as well as independently.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to adapt and embrace change.
Pay: $24.00 – $27.00 per hour
