Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY: This position serves as the first contact with customers, handles extensive payment processing, and provides clerical support for a busy office.
KEY or ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
The essential functions of the position include but are not limited to the following:
Payment processing
Cash drawer reconciliation
Handling multi-line phone system
Mail processing
First line customer contact
Handling customer inquiries
SECONDARY FUNCTIONS:
Secondary functions of this position include but are not limited to the following:
Assisting customers with account services as needed
Clerical support to department
ADDITIONAL KEY FUNCTIONS OF CSR II:
The additional essential functions of the higher-level position include but are not limited to the following:
Control and reconcile cash
Prepare and submit daily electronic and cash deposits.
Receive, review, and process all electronic payments for AELP
Create and maintain payment records
Train employees in payment entry processes, including cashiering duties
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
This position requires:
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- 10-key by touch
- Basic math skills
- Strong customer service skills
ADDITIONAL CSR II QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum of 2 years of office and customer service experience
EQUIPMENT UTILIZED:
Duties of this position will require regular use of:
Desktop computer, telephone, keyboard, mouse, copier, printer, fax and other general office equipment
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
In order to meet all expectations of this position, employee must be able to lift 20 pounds without assistance and sit for long periods of time.
MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
For an employee to succeed in this position he/she will need to: provide positive and friendly customer service at all times, multi-task, prioritize work load, reconcile cash drawers, pay close attention to detail, work efficiently and meet deadlines, collaborate with coworkers, be knowledgeable of all department policies and company tariff, and adapt to changing tasks.
