RCL Medical Solutions is a veteran-owned medical logistics company providing reliable transportation and delivery services for neighboring healthcare organizations, labs, medical suppliers, pharmacies, and government agencies. We are seeking professional independent contractors to provide timely and secure transportation of medical materials and supplies.
The independent medical courier is responsible for the safe, secure, and timely transportation of medical supplies, laboratory specimens, pharmaceuticals, medical equipment, and other healthcare materials. Contractors will operate their own vehicles and maintain compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and client requirements.
- Pick up and deliver medical supplies, lab specimens, pharmaceuticals, and medical equipment.
- Maintain accurate delivery records and proof of delivery documentation.
- Follow established chain-of-custody procedures.
- Ensure timely pickups and deliveries according to assigned schedules.
- Maintain confidentiality of all customer and patient information.
- Communicate professionally with healthcare facilities, laboratories, pharmacies, and clients.
- Follow all safety, transportation, and compliance requirements.
- Report delivery issues, delays, or incidents promptly.
Minimum Requirements
- Valid driver's license.
- Reliable personal vehicle in good operating condition.
- Current vehicle registration.
- Valid automobile insurance meeting company requirements.
- Smartphone with GPS capability.
- Ability to lift and transport packages up to 50 pounds.
- Must complete HIPAA compliance training (certificate required prior to assignment)
- Must carry valid auto insurance, Must carry commercial auto insurance (if required by contract)
- Must maintain proof of insurance at all times
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior courier, delivery, logistics, transportation or military logistics experience.
- Experience handling medical, laboratory or healthcare related deliveries.
- Knowledge of healthcare transportation procedures.
- Experience working as an independent contractor.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to pass background & drug screening if required by contract.
