The City of Virginia Beach Department of Human services is seeking to hire a talented candidate with receptionist experience working with specialty populations for our part-time Clerk position for the Pathways Center in our Behavioral Health Division.
Duties:
* Act as receptionist; receive telephone calls and supply routine information or refer caller to proper party.
* Create spreadsheets to track needed information.
* Welcome individuals into the building upon entry. Ensure all CHR data is up to date and accurate.
* Collect new insurance information upon entry into the program and upon changes of insurance.
* Provide support to the leadership team as directed by the Administrative Assistant.
* Track Medicaid authorizations and eligibility.
* Sort and file correspondence, bills, requisitions, and other material.
* Maintain an inventory of office and facility supplies. Trouble shoots office machine issues.
* File documents into medical charts as needed.
* Organize charts in the file room, as needed.
* Communicate missing documentation to the Administrative Assistant and then file the documents, once obtained, into the charts or CHR.
* Perform quality review checks on charts.
