THE POSITION
The Clerical Supervisor 2 position with the Department of Revenue offers a chance to lead a busy and important part of the Pennsylvania State Lottery. You will guide a team that helps keep accounting work accurate and dependable for retailers across the state. This role allows you to make a strong impact by supporting fair, clear and timely service. Your leadership will help keep Lottery operations moving smoothly every day.
DESCRIPTION OF WORK
This role oversees clerical operations that support the accounting of scratch off tickets and the services provided to retailers. The work involves leading staff, reviewing complex accounting tasks and ensuring accurate processing across the section. As a Clerical Supervisor 2, you will perform the following duties:
Team Leadership: Supervise clerical staff and guide daily work to ensure accurate processing of accounting tasks
Document Review: Check forms, files and system entries to confirm that information is complete and correct
Retailer Support: Respond to calls and emails and provide clear information to help resolve questions and issues
Account Adjustments: Process credits and corrections in the Lottery systems
Data Verification: Compare figures across systems and confirm accuracy before sending accounts for collection action
System Management: Explain instructions on processing methods and procedures to clerical staff, field staff, and retailers
Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday – Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year as a Clerical Supervisor 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- One year as a Clerical Assistant 3 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- Two years as a Clerical Assistant 2 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Additional Requirements:
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Preferred Qualifications (not required):
- Call center experience
- Customer service experience
