Although the post holder will be an integral part of the Social prescribing team they will report to the Community Matron via the Social prescribing link workers and community Midwives, they will assist in the provision of an efficient, effective and comprehensive reception, administrative service for the multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals.
Using appropriate technologies and equipment, and taking direction and guidance from the Admin Team Leader where appropriate, the post holder will produce work outputs to a high standard of quality that meets the organisations requirements for effective provision of patient care and patient safety, Clinical Governance, Information Governance, RMS, and CQC and is in line with all policies, procedures and guidelines
The post holder will be required to assist in the provision of a professional, high quality effective and efficient administrative and clerical support service to a multi-disciplinary team that meets the needs of the service and the requirements of all related policies, procedures and guidelines, meeting the high demands of the post, and working to tight deadlines whilst remaining calm, flexible and organised.
Undertake daily administrative and clerical duties specific to the allocated area (to be supplied by base) to support the provision of care of women with complex social needs, by taking direction from the Matron and Midwifery and Social prescribing team as appropriate to ensure patient safety and the security and confidentiality of all patient related information.
Dealing with queries from service users including key stake holders, charitable organisations, General Practitioners, patients and their representatives, in a professional and courteous manner that is consistent with legislation, policies and procedures including data protection and confidentiality, sourcing any relating information that might help deal with the query, taking accurate written messages and passing more complex queries on to relevant staff.
Ensure that all work tasks are carried out to a high standard of quality which meets all of the organisations’ requirements for patient safety, information governance, data protection and confidentiality
Liaise with the multi-disciplinary team on the department and with staff from other wards/departments and external service users including GP’s, patients and their representatives in a professional and courteous manner that is consistent with legislation, policies and procedures including data protection and confidentiality.
