Pay Range: $15 to $20 / hr. full time position
About the Role Are you an experienced accounting professional with a knack for job costing and team leadership? TVS is looking for a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to establish and maintain our financial and job costing records. Reporting directly to the Controler, you will play a crucial role in our financial health by managing cash flow, overseeing daily accounting operations, and guiding a dedicated department of three or more employees. What You’ll Do (Responsibilities)
- Financial Management: Maintain the General Ledger, balance accounts, and prepare monthly financial statements and weekly cashflow analyses.
- Accounts Payable & Receivable: Oversee customer billing, cash receipts, and collection activities, while verifying and distributing vendor invoices.
- Job Costing & Payroll: Update daily job costs, analyze estimated vs. actual expenses, and prepare company payroll and tax reports.
- Team Leadership: Guide, direct, and effectively coordinate a department of 3+ employees.
- Customer Support: Answer phones, perform secretarial duties, and provide excellent service to customers in the store.
What We’re Looking For (Requirements) Must-Haves:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 3+ years of bookkeeping/accounting experience in a business with sales exceeding $10 million per year.
- 3+ years of experience with QuickBooks Online.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively manage a department of 3 or more employees.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret financial reports.
Nice-to-Haves:
- College degree in business, accounting, or a related field; CPA license is a major plus.
- 5+ years of bookkeeping experience specifically within the construction industry.
- Familiarity with Job Nimbus, ProKore, or BuilderTrend.
- Knowledge of classes and cost accounting.
