The applicant we seek will be responsible for:
- Communicate with multiple patients and their families to determine staffing needs and schedule/coordinate the request.
- Maintain a caseload of 80-100 active cases.
- Utilize reports, and caregiver data provided by the Compliance department, to secure caregivers for staffing.
- Daily monitoring of electronic communication of referrals from contracts, and providing timely status updates.
- Collaborate with marketing staff to increase sale by ensuring that a minimum of 5 new cases are accepted and staffed each week.
- Meet metrics of key performance indicators (KPIs) for Coordination and Branch for visits, missed visits, overtime, calls made, EVV, etc.
- Coordinates, assigns work and communicates directly with caregivers.
- Performs all office functions in compliance with federal, state, and local laws and all policies procedures.
- Communicates with the patients, caregivers, affiliated vendors, and corporate departments as needed.
- Completes documentation accurately, legibly, and timely for office processes and assists in payroll and billing functions to ensure all caregivers are paid timely.
- Will have access to personal health information (PHI) necessary to fulfill the above duties and responsibilities. Will also have access to use and ability to disclose PHI; further defined by each organization/department.
- Performs on-call duty and other duties as assigned by management.
- Maintains knowledge of current regulations for healthcare staffing.
- Follows policy and procedures as directed.
- Bring concerns forward appropriately to the Branch Manager or DPS.
- Work with supervisors and other team members to meet business goals.
- Works to meet financial goals of the office for sales growth and diversity of business.
- Follows pay and bill structures set by the office. Gets appropriate approval for overtime, rewards and/or motivators for caregivers from the supervisor.
To be considered, you must possess the following:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- One year of clerical or secretarial experience preferred.
- Experience as a Caregiver preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of office practices and procedures.
- Knowledge of business terminology, spelling, punctuation, and grammar.
- Prepare and maintain accurate records and files.
- Ability to interpret and apply rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Ability to coordinate with other staff, departments, officials, agencies, organizations, and the public.
- Ability to communicate ideas and instructions clearly and concisely.
- Strong working knowledge of computers and related equipment.
- Maintains problem-solving approach under stressful circumstances.
- Promotes an environment of high morale and teamwork.
- Tasks appropriate and timely measures to meet the needs of the patients and caregivers.
- Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule and evening hours as needed.
- Ability to sit in front of a computer for long periods.
- Physical activity is sedentary and may require occasional lifting or carrying up to 10 lbs.
- Bilingual is a plus.
