Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly, detail-oriented, and dependable Gate Attendant to serve as the first point of contact at our facility in Sheridan, CO. In this role, you will manage customer entry, handle transactions, and support daily office operations while maintaining a welcoming, organized, and professional environment.
As the face of our location, you will interact with customers, visitors, and potential employees, ensuring smooth access, accurate record-keeping, and excellent customer service. This paid position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, staying organized, and balancing administrative tasks in a fast-paced setting.
Responsibilities
- Greet incoming customers, visitors, and vendors in a professional and friendly manner
- Manage entry and exit at the gate and ensure visitors are directed appropriately
- Invoice customers, collect payments, and process transactions accurately
- Perform daily cash reconciliation and prepare deposits
- Track inventory and maintain accurate records
- Answer basic questions and provide information to customers and visitors
- Maintain the appearance of the office and gate area, including light housekeeping
- Organize, maintain, and restock office supplies as needed
- Provide general administrative support, including copying, scanning, and filing
- Communicate effectively with team members to support smooth daily operations
Skills & Qualifications
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Bilingual (Spanish)
- Friendly, approachable, and customer-focused attitude
- Dependable, punctual, and detail-oriented
- Excellent listening skills and ability to multitask
- Comfortable using basic computer systems and office technology
- Ability to remain attentive and organized throughout the workday
- Previous customer service, administrative, cashier, or front-desk experience is a plus
Work Environment
This position is based in a gate booth at an outdoor facility near soil, compost, and similar landscaping materials. Candidates should be comfortable working around outdoor elements and in an industrial yard setting. Please note the booth does not have running water inside. A portable restroom is available on-site.
