Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and customer-focused Bank Teller to join our client’s financial services team in Bonaparte, IA. The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal skills, a keen eye for detail, and a solid understanding of banking operations. Your primary goal will be to facilitate smooth cash handling, promote financial products, and foster positive customer relationships that support the bank’s growth and reputation.
Responsibilities
- Process a variety of banking transactions including deposits, withdrawals, cashing checks, and fund transfers with accuracy and efficiency.
- Balance drawer at close of business to determine all transactions were properly executed.
- Assist customers with account inquiries, account opening procedures, and basic troubleshooting to enhance their banking experience.
- Sells cashiers checks, travelers checks, and other bank services.
- Accepts and processes customer loan transactions.
- Provides safe deposit box sales and customer access, as assigned.
- Provides dual control in vault access, as assigned.
- Processed night deposits, as assigned.
- Redeems savings bonds.
- Assists with phone reception, clerical duties, counting and wrapping coin, balancing atm, and all other duties assigned by supervisor.
Skills
- Knowledge of banking operations including cash handling, cash management, cashiering, and basic math skills.
- Ability to operate basic office equipment
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally.
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time and lift over 25lbs.
Pay: $13.00 per hour
