Responsibilities
- Perform data entry and account reconciliation for accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger transactions specific to automotive dealership operations
- Manage payroll processing using systems such as ADP, Paychex, or UltiPro, ensuring timely and accurate employee compensation
- Conduct balance sheet reconciliations and verify financial data accuracy in accounting software like QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or PeopleSoft
- Prepare and review journal entries in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and ensure compliance with SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) controls
- Assist with governmental and non-profit accounting requirements, including tax filings and audit support
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes by analyzing financial statements and preparing reports for management
- Utilize technical accounting knowledge to resolve discrepancies related to debits & credits, account analysis, and account reconciliation
