Assistant Permit Coordinator Jobs in East Kilbride, UK at Sefton Council

This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in co‑ordinating and processing permit applications to minimise disruption of the highway.

You will provide support to the Permit Coordinator, managing an increasing number of permit applications for the benefit of our residents and visitors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process permit applications within the required timescales.
  • Respond to written and verbal communications from Statutory Undertakers, ensuring the best outcomes for the Authority and its highway users.
  • Process road closures using a dedicated software system.
  • Process and respond to challenges in relation to Fixed Penalty Notices (FPNs).
  • Be proficient in the use of the Microsoft Office package including Outlook, Teams, Word, PowerPoint and Excel.

This role suits someone with a basic understanding of street works legislation and processes, who has strong verbal and written communication skills and is keen to make a difference working in a busy office environment.
