About The Job

The Assistant Community Manager assists the Community Manager in the overall administration and maintenance of the property. Reports to the Community Manager and Regional Property Manager.

Responsibilities

Maintain resident files per Compliance and Property Management policies.

Assist in marketing and advertising for vacancies following the Affirmative Fair Housing Marketing Plan.

Manage the property waiting list per the Tenant Selection Plan.

Process housing applications in line with affordable housing covenants.

Prepare deposits for banking and conduct daily bank runs.

Post resident payments into Yardi timely.

Help prepare month-end reports and maintain work orders in Yardi.

Order office and maintenance supplies within budget.

Coordinate with maintenance to meet vacancy turn times.

Send late notices and notices to pay rent.

Assist with legal proceedings and show available units.

Maintain office and resident files.

Engage in marketing and competitor analysis.

Assist residents as needed and respond to complaints promptly.

Attend company events, which may include overnight stays.

Support Community Manager in maintaining 100% occupancy and a safe, clean community.

Process annual re-certifications timely.

Demonstrate professionalism, confidentiality, and initiative.

Encourage professional development, including Tax Credit Specialist certification.

Experience

High school diploma or equivalent; proficiency in communication skills.

At least 2 years in property management, preferably affordable housing.

Minimum 1 year administrative experience.

Understanding of budgeting and bookkeeping.

Customer service experience with excellent skills.

Knowledge of Microsoft Office; experience with aged receivables is a plus.

FSLA:
Non-exempt

Pay: $20.50 – $21.00/hr
