SUMMARY:
Job Title: Administrator
Location: Durban North
Job Purpose:
To provide efficient administrative and office support to ensure the smooth day-to-day operations of the organisation. The Administrator will be responsible for managing office tasks, maintaining records, supporting staff, and ensuring excellent communication both internally and externally.
POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform general administrative duties including filing, data capturing, and document management
- Manage incoming calls, emails, and correspondence in a professional manner
- Maintain and update records, databases, and filing systems
- Assist with scheduling meetings, calendar management, and travel arrangements
- Provide reception and customer service support when required
- Process basic financial/admin tasks using systems such as Sage Evolution (SAP advantageous)
- Prepare reports, presentations, and documentation as needed
- Order and manage office supplies
- Support various departments with administrative requirements
- Ensure confidentiality of sensitive information at all times
Minimum Requirements:
Education:
- Grade 12 (Matric) – essential
- Diploma or Certificate in Office Administration, Business Administration, Management, or Bookkeeping – advantageous
Experience:
- 1–3 years’ experience in an administrative or office support role
- Experience in customer service or reception duties beneficial
- Experience with Sage Evolution and/or SAP advantageous
Technical Skills:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Strong data capturing and record-keeping ability
- Email and calendar management
