Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Administrative Support Specialist to join our team in Winnipeg and fill an existing position. The successful candidate will handle finance duties and provide daily administrative support to the executive leadership team across a broad range of activities.
Responsibilities
- Perform finance duties by performing billing, posting all payments received, cancel and re‑bill invoices when errors occur, issue outstanding invoices, and deal with any issues that may arise from missing payments, under payments, or over payments
- Provide customer support for clients, hospitals, personal care homes, and any other entities if they have any questions, complaints, or compliments
- Assist all executive leadership team members as required
- Additional duties as assigned
Requirements
- Grade 12 or equivalent and administrative or clerical experience is required
- Ability to analyze information and develop effective solutions
- Strong planning, critical thinking, problem solving, and task and time management skills
- Proficiency with office technology and equipment, such as computers, copiers, scanners, fax machines and phone systems
- Successful criminal record check with vulnerable sector, child abuse check, and adult abuse check
- Demonstrated experience in the use of computers in a Windows based environment
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
- Ability to work independently or with minimal supervision
- Demonstrated ability to plan, schedule and coordinate
- Strong organizational skills
- Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with care and to exercise the utmost discretion in providing information to others
- Satisfactory employment record
- Excellent keyboard and computer skills – minimum speed of 30 words per minute
- Professional telephone manner demonstrated in application, interview and reference
- Excellent listening skills
