Position: Administrative Support Assistant.
- Keeps supervisor’s calendar and schedules appointments and meetings on own initiative.
- Takes lead in developing new methods of automating office records and renders advice and recommendations for purchase of computer resources.
- Assists in administering the hand receipt under supervision of the hand receipt holders.
- Coordinates routine and complex travel arrangements including remote international locations for employees.
- Serves as timekeeper and performs all time and attendance and related duties for all employees using an automated reporting system.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
Qualifications
- Specialized Experience (GS‑07):
One year of specialized experience which includes tracking or monitoring deadlines for assignments; drafting or reviewing correspondence to ensure proper grammar, spelling, formatting, or signatures; and using an automated system to make, coordinate, or approve travel arrangements. - Time‑in‑Grade Requirement:
Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS‑06). - Applicants must meet the experience requirements described above; education may not substitute for experience.
