About the position

Duties
The incumbent of the Administrative and/or Operational Assistant position provides essential support to the work unit. He or she supports managers and team members, including but not limited to, by performing the following tasks: researching and providing information, processing administrative and financial requests, entering and managing information in various systems, coordinating meeting logistics, and contributing to the improvement of work processes and procedures.

Intent of the process
The intent of this process is to staff various positions within the RCMP’s “C” Division (Province of Quebec).A pool of partially or fully qualified candidates may be established and used to staff similar or identical positions, including but not limited to Information Processing Clerk, Information Processing Officer, Detachment Services Assistant, or other positions within the RCMP, for determinate or indeterminate periods and/or security clearance requirements (Enhanced Reliability, Secret or Top Secret) and/or language profiles may vary depending on the position.

If a civilian member (CM) is deemed qualified and considered for appointment, the appointment will not result in a change of status to the public service employee (PSE) category for the CM.
